Team Surrey Chair
Hello, I'm Alex your Team Surrey Chair for 2018-19. I have just completed a degree in Aerospace Engineering and now continuing at Surrey to do a MSc in Renewable Energy. I have played on the University Basketball First team for 3 years and have held various committee positions within the Basketball Club. My aims for the coming year are to; help active students understand the skills they have gained from engaging in University activity for improving their employability, increase student participation through awareness of student activity options, and improve the relationship we have with our kit provider PlayerLayer to help Surrey students get the most out of their student experience. I am also Dyslexic (an ALS student) and hope to help minorities feel they can and should get involved in student activity at Surrey.
Namaste, I am Riddhish, your Societies Chair for the 2018-19. I am a Final year, BMus. Creative Music Technology, Student Ambassador and Course Rep. For the past 3 years, I have been the President of the Bollywood Dance Society along with my various committee role in Indian Student Association. I have also been Captain to our University's 2nd Table Tennis team for the year 2016 -17. As Societies Chair, I intend to help committee members build a stronger foundation of running societies together and provide opportunities to enhance website engagement as well as member engagement throughout the year. I aspire to push forward the idea of Societies to be a singular entity like the Team Surrey to elevate the significance of what Societies offer to the development of student experience and their university life altogether.
