AppArt Easter Art Exhibition and Sculpture Trail
AppArt's annual Easter Exhibition at Prior's Field School in Godalming promises a Visual Arts extravaganza with many art mediums and styles being represented.
With over 600 exhibits indoors and outside it is one of the most extensive exhibitions in the South East.
AppArt attracts artists from all over the southern counties and this year internationally celebrated Surrey artist Alexander Creswell will open the exhibition and Sculpture Trail on Saturday 6 April 2019.
The Cancer Research UK Oxford and Cambridge Boat Races
Watch crews from Oxford and Cambridge universities battle it out on the Thames during The Cancer Research UK Men's Boat Race and The Cancer Research UK Women's Boat Race.
One of the biggest free sporting spectacles in London, The Boat Race creates a festive atmosphere on the banks of the river Thames. Up to 250,000 people flock to the riverbanks every year to join the celebrations and watch the Oxford University and Cambridge University eight-oared rowing boats race along the famous 4.2-mile (6.8km) Championship Course between Putney and Mortlake.
The women's race starts at 2.15pm and the men's race at 3.15pm.

The play details the lives of four women through the immense social changes of the twentieth century. Using a kaleidoscopic time structure, Charlotte Keatley's story focuses on four generations of one family as they confront the most significant moments of their lives.

Kate weaves songs from the last 60 years with stories about the human voice and mesmerising layered vocals from her critically acclaimed album Songbirds.
Kate improvises with the audience using her vocal looper to reinvent this show each time.

The second visit from our friends the RPO will be conducted by the distinguished British conductor Alexander Shelley and will feature Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, one of the most tempestuous of all Tchaikovsky's works with its famous fate motif which starts and ends the symphony. In the first half we will hear Wagner's grand Tannhauser Overture and Vadym Kholodenko will perform Rachmaninov's much loved Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.
