Hello! My name is Aya Asali and I've just graduated with a BSc in Politics and Economics after three amazing years at Surrey. I'm currently completing an MSc in Management, also at Surrey, hoping to improve the circumstances I witnessed and experienced throughout my degree. I am Palestinian-Jordanian, yet I relate to any and all cultures, and have a passion for theatre, dance, Taekwondo, and of course, politics. Entering university at 17 as an international student meant that I needed exceptionally strong communication to know my way around university, which was at times lacking. This year, I'd like to focus mainly on improving the University's communication, as well as employability and feedback from lecturers. I hope for nobody to feel lost or unaware on my watch!
I'm really looking forward to working with the union, and representing your voice. I'd love for you to contact me with ideas if you spot me around campus, or via email, so we can work together to make them happen.
