Your VP Community, Izzy, and VP Activity, Maya, are bringing you an alcohol and drugs awareness week this November. The week will include events, training and workshops to promote a harm reduction approach when it comes to alcohol and drugs.

Monday 16th November
6pm: ‘Staying Safe During Lockdown’ – A honest discussion on alcohol, drugs, lockdown and mental health. 6pm. Join us on zoom here.
Wednesday 18th November
12pm: Alcohol and drug support service stalls outside The Hive. Pop along to pick up a flyer and learn more about the support services on offer to those concerned about the alcohol or drug use of themselves or a friend.
Wednesday 18th November
6pm: 'Surrey Debates: Alcohol and Drugs'- Discussing big topics surrounding alcohol and drugs, including, 'should cannabis be legalised in the UK?', 'is student drinking culture dangerous?' and 'should Students’ Unions offer drug testing kits?' Thursday 19th November
2pm: Documentary Afternoon in The Marquee. An educational look into how alcohol and drugs work, the cultures that stem from their usages, and the psychology behind alcohol and drug use. Throughout the afternoon we will be showing a variety of short documentaries exploring various aspects of alcohol and drug use in the UK.

7pm: Drug Policy Activist Training Workshop. An external event run by Anyone's Child, LEAP UK and SSDP (Students for Sensible Drug Policy) UK for those wishing to develop their knowledge and campaigning skills around drug policy. RSVP here.
Friday 20th November
7pm: Alcohol and drug harm reduction workshop. An evidence-based workshop run by DrugsAnd.Me, this session will educate you on how you can champion harm reduction interventions. Join us on blackboard here.
